Sachin transforms PK into a Model Village

Puttamraju Kandrika, a small village in Nellore district, became World famous after Sachin Tendulkar adopted it under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. It was Hyderabad Badminton Association Vice President Chamundeswarinath who suggested Master Blaster to adopt a village from Andhra. Thereafter, Nellore District Collector Srikanth provided the road map to make Puttamraju Kandrika into a model village.
Sachin focussed on basic amenities such as roads, drinking water, drainage, community hall and etc., The Legendary Cricketer offered his MPLADs for the good cause. Overall, Rs 6.15 crore has been spent on the development works in the village.
People of Puttamraju Kandrika can't ask for anything more. Those who left the village two years ago were really surprised to see the development when they returned home. Even the North Indians who visited this village while they were on the way to Tirumala were so impressed with the facilities in the village.
