Narayana Murthy SAD over Layoffs

Infosys Founder-Chairman NR Narayana Murthy claims to be unhappy over the thousands of lay-offs by IT Companies in the recent past. In reply to an email seeking his opinion on IT Lay-Offs, He wrote, 'It is sad'.
Wipro and Cognizant served pink slips to thousands of its employees citing poor performance. While Wipro asked 600-odd Employees to leave the organization, Cognizant had sent home even Directors and Vice Presidents offering them 6 to 9 months salary.
Even Infosys informed about the decision to sack hundreds of Mid & Senior-Level IT Professionals based on the performance. Tech Mahindra fired at least 1,000 employees.
As per Experts, Anywhere from 1.75 lakh to 2 lakh IT Employees will be losing their jobs annually in the next 3 years.
