If Mallya can, why not Me?: Man asks SBI
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 Nov 2016 10:54 AM GMTControversy erupted over the waiver of over Rs 7,000 crore loans of big shots by State Bank of India few days after the announcement of demonetization. The beneficiaries include Vijay Mallya who's Rs 1,200 crore debt was waived.
Now, A Municipal Worker in Maharashtra demanded SBI to waive his loan just alike it has done in the case of the Liquor Baron. Bhaurao Sonawane have a bank loan of Rs 1.5 lakh. He sent a letter to the SBI congratulating it for the good decision to waive off Mallya's loan. At the same time, The worker even sought SBI to waive off his loan as well in the similar manner.
Bhaurao Sonawane took the loan towards the medical expenses when his son was battling illness. He is still waiting for a reply from the Bank Manager.
Has Centre or SBI got a valid answer for Bhaurao Sonawane? What if the common man refuse to pay their loans citing the same example? On what basis did Centre waive off the loans of big shots? Modi ji, kya baat hai!
