The financial status of Andhra Pradesh has been in the news in recent times with the opposition parties targeting the government over pushing the state towards the debt affecting the economy.

Replying to a question raised by a TDP MP in the Parliament, the union government also said that the Andhra Pradesh government is borrowing debts more than the limit given to it.

The advisor to the Andhra Pradesh government Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy broke his silence on the issue finally and said that the government is in debt. He shed light on the harsh situation that the payments of salaries to the state employees are also getting delayed.

However, he kept the blame on the government's debt on the Covid pandemic. Saying that the financial resources and the system were severely impacted by the pandemic, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.

He added that the state government is not leaving any stone unturned to see that the pending salaries for the employees are cleared as soon as possible.
