Mumbai Police summoned Actor and Salman Khan's brother Arbaaz Khan for questioning over his alleged involvement in the IPL Betting. Thane Police will be recording his statement soon.
The name of Arbaaz Khan surfaced while Cops were interrogating a bookie identified as Sonu Jahan who was nabbed on Tuesday. This bookie seems to be a key member of gambling racket that's been spread from India to the Middle East.
Cops suspect Arbaaz Khan placed bets during the recent IPL Season and Sonu Jahan attempted to extort money from him. The Bookie maintained a diary which had information about the clients and bookies. He is a key member of the betting racket operated by a person with name 'Junior Kolkata'.
It was in 2008, Sonu Jahan was first arrested in connection with IPL Betting Racket. He could be having direct links with Karachi-based terrorist Dawood Ibrahim.
