Sanitation worker became the first recipient of Covid-19 vaccine in India

The vaccine drive was started in all the States and Union Territories at the dedicated vaccine centers across the nation.
A sanitation worker from the national capital Delhi who goes by the name Manish Kumar became the first recipient of the COVID-19 vaccine in India. He was administered the vaccine at AIIMS Delhi.
Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan was present at AIIMS, Delhi when Manish Kumar was given the vaccination injection, the first vaccine dose in the country.
To inculcate confidence in peoples' minds, AIIMS Director Dr. Randeep Guleria took the vaccine dose today. His vaccination process was live-streamed to clear the doubts on the vaccine.
After Manish Kumar and Dr. Randeep Guleria, a few professionals from the medical field, including Vinod K Paul, who heads a government panel on vaccine strategy took the vaccine injection to encourage people to get vaccinated.
After taking the vaccine dose, Vinod K Paul spoke to the media and said the vaccine is very safe. I took the vaccine dose, and I am absolutely fine.
