Star Hero walks out of Jail with Rs 440

Sanjay Dutt will be walking free from the Yerwada Central Prison in Pune on February 25th morning. He will be returning home with Rs 440 which was earned by him during his stay in the jail.
Maharashtra Minister of State for Home Ram Shinde said Sanjay Dutt earned 8 months and 16 days remission/exemption on grounds of good behaviour in prison. Though he was sentenced for 5 years in jail by Supreme Court, The actor had actually spent only 4 years 3 months and 14 days as an inmate with No. C-16656.
The 56-Year-Old was arrested for the first time on April 19th, 1993 for illegal possession of arms during Mumbai serial blasts. He spent 18 months in prison during the trail.
In 2007, TADA Court sentenced him to 6 years imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000. In 2013, Supreme Court reduced the jail term to 5 years.
