Saptagiri For AP , Yadagiri For Telangana

State bifurcation had impacted Doordarshan as well. Few days back Andhara Pradesh announced its regional channel plans in Vijayawada. Now Telangana government had moved the file related to DD Telangana Regional channel.

As part of mutual agreement between both the state, the existing name “ DD Sapthagiri is allocated to Andhra Pradesh. As per latest information the Information and Broadcasting department proposed new name for its state DD channel. The file related to new name(Yadagiri) of its regional channel has been approved by KCR. of new name for its DD channel.

The channel will starts its broadcasting from 27th of this month. The channel name is taken into consideration after spiritual place Yadagirigutta in respect of Telangana people.
