Sarpanch builds memorial for corona-hit patients

Corona is leaving families shattered and villages are getting emptied. Death and devastation is knocking our doors. Covid positive cases and mortality rate are rising by each passing day creating panic and despair.
Amid this gloom, some people are finding newer ways to express their love and affection for the departed. In Patancheru mandal's Chitkul village, the local sarpanch has lost both his parents. While mother passed away after testing positive, father passed away the next day wailing over the departed wife. Mother Neelam Radhamma died on May 6, while father Neelam Nirmal, who was overcome with grief, died while sitting in his chair the very next day. Sarpanch Neelam Madhu decided to get statues of both consecrated.
Interestingly, sarpanch Madhu is offering pooja to both the parents on a daily basis. This memorial to the parents who departed due to Covid has now become the centre of attraction in the village and its neighbourhood.
