Sasikala expels OPS, picks Palanisamy as CM

Soon after being convicted in the Rs 66 crore disproportionate assets case, AIADMK General Secretary VK Sasikala Natarajan has expelled caretaker CM O Panneerselvam from the party. This move is to ensure O Panneerselvam doesn't take over AIADMK in her absence.
As she can't be the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu after being convicted, VK Sasikala Natarajan picked up her loyalist & Tamil Nadu's PWD Minister Edapadi K Palanisamy as the leader of AIADMK Legislative Party. So, Mr.Palanisamy will be sworn-in as next CM of Tamil Nadu if majority of the AIADMK MLAs back Sasikala's decision.
On the other hand, O Panneerselvam appealed AIADMK MLAs to work collectively to continue to service done by Amma. He urged party cadre to take a wise decision.
Soon after the judgement was delivered, Supporters of O Panneerselvam bursted crackers to celebrate the conviction of Sasikala Natarajan. While DMK Chief MK Stalin called the conviction of Sasikala Natarajan historic, AIADMK suspended MP Sasikala Pushpa congratulates O Panneerselvam saying justice prevailed.
