Chinnamma unfit to be General Secretary: Sasikala

Expelled AIADMK MP Sasikala Pushpa moved Madras High Court against the elevation of Sasikala Natarajan, whom partymen address as Chinnamma, as party's general secretary following the death of former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa. Advocate KM Vijayan appeared for Sasikala Pushpa in the High Court.
Sasikala Pushpa: 'It would be inappropriate to make Sasikala party's General Secretary as not even once did Jayalalithaa name her as the successor. She wasn't even offered a Councillor seat or MLA ticket in the past 33 years. Jayalalithaa herself told Sasikala's Family has conspired against her and hence they were expelled from the party in 2011. Even Sasikala has admitted it as a mistake then. Is there any guarantee that Sasikala's family has conspired against Amma again in 2016? How could she be given the powers to dictate terms? As per Rule in Class-30 sub clause-5, An individual having primary membership of a party for five consecutive years can contests the elections. If this rule is implied, Sasikala is unfit to be general secretary as she don't even have party membership'.
