Sasikala's Husband & Lawyer assaulted

Suspended AIADMK MP Sasikala Pushpa's Husband Lingeswara Thilagan and his lawyers were assaulted by party activists outside the headquarters on Wednesday.
Apparently, Sasikala Pushpa moved the court opposing the elevation of Sasikala Natarajan as AIADMK General Secretary after Jayalalithaa's death. Today, MP Sasikala, her Hubby, Lawyers and Supporters reached AIADMK Headquarters to submit nomination papers for the post of party general secretary. However, Staff refused to accept Sasikala Pushpa's nomination citing senior members weren't present. Thereafter, AIADMK Cadre assaulted all of them. Cops swung into action and saved them. Sasikala's Husband and Lawyer were found bleeding.
Post this incident, Municipal Administration Minister SP Velumani questioned, 'How can an expelled leader like Sasikala Pushpa file nomination for party's top post? Chinnamma will be the general secretary of AIADMK for sure. 1.5 crore party men has unanimously chosen her lead AIADMK'.
Sasikala Natarajan will be officially elected as AIADMK General Secretary during the party's Council Meeting on Thursday.
