Sasikala Shocking Revelations on her assets.

Amid many discussions on who is the owner of Kodanad estates and other properties after the demise of former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha, her close aide and former secretary of ANNADMK Sasikala proclaimed herself as the owner of those properties.
Following this, it has been reported that her auditor has sent a report to the Income Tax Department. Earlier, the IT department told the court that after the demonetization, Sasikala purchased properties of almost Rs. 1,674 crore with her old 500 and 1,000 notes.
Sasikala is in jail now as she was arrested in the illegal earning case in 2017 and awarded four years of jail. Post that raids were conducted at Jayalalitha's residence, and residence of Sasikala's relatives. They have recovered many documents and secret dairies at these residences.
The IT department has sent notices to Sasikala who was in jail demanding an explanation on her purchase of properties with old notes. She asked the court to give one month to explain. To this, the court said it can give only 15 days only.
Her lawyer has sent an explanation on her assets but they did not mention anything about purchases she did with old notes. The explanation report went on to say that Sasikala has invested in ANNADMK's mouthpiece 'Namadu MGR' AND 'Jaya Printers and she is also a partner in Jaya Real Estates, Green form house.
