Shocking: Satellite Image of Delhi Air Pollution!
X
The Images captured by the European Space Agency's (ESA) Sentinel-5P Satellite reflect the alarming levels of air pollution in New Delhi on November 10th.

Factors like slow wing speed, high moisture content in the air and crop burning resulted in severe air pollution in North India from November 6th to 14th. Other factors include thermal power plant emissions, dust due to construction activity and vehicular pollution.

As per Central Pollution Control Board, Air Pollution on December 1st is as high as that recorded from November 6th to 14th. During day time, PM10 touched 412 micrograms per cubic metre. The air quality index for Delhi is measured at 343 in a scale of 500.

The situation is so severe that few Sri Lankan Cricketers weren't in a position to play on Day 2 of third Test Match at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. Due to the shortage of a fielder in the Sri Lankan Camp, Kohli has declared the 1st Innings much earlier than anyone expected and asked the visitors to bat.
