X
The murder of B-Pharmacy Student Ayesha Mira at a private hostel in Vijayawada on December 27th, 2007 created a sensation. Ayesha was seen lying in the bathroom which is covered with blood. Beside her, A Letter was left by the murderer informing that he had raped and killed her for rejecting his love proposal.

In August 2008, Cops had arrested Satyam Babu who hails from Anasagaram Village of Jaggayyapeta Mandal in Krishna District and projected him as a murderer of Ayesha Mira. However, Ayesha's Mother rubbished the claims of Cops and alleged they have been trying to shield a family member of an influential politician.

While being in jail, Satyam Babu fell sick and he got paralyzed. Later, Cops went on to say they had arrested Satyam Babu again after he escaped from jail. However, Doctors made it clear Satyam Babu isn't in a position to walk. Several doubts were raised on the claims of Police Department in this case.

Vijayawada Women's Session Court sentenced Satyam Babu to life imprisonment. He has been serving jail sentence for the past 8 years. On Friday, Hyderabad High Court acquitted Satyam Babu from murder charges and given him a clean chit. The court even sought disciplinary action against investigation officer and sanctioned a compensation of Rs 1 lakh.

Ayesha Mira's Mother Shamshad Begum welcomed the High Court verdict. 'Justice has won..A good verdict has been delivered by the Judiciary. God has done justice to My Daughter long ago. Police Department has to give Rs 1 crore compensation for Satyam Babu,' she demanded.
