Indian Maid's Hand chopped in Saudi Arabia

The right hand of Kashturi Munirathinam, an Indian woman working as a domestic help in Saudi Arabia, was chopped off by her Employer on the intervening night of September 29th-30th.
Reportedly, Kashturi Munirathinam has been tortured for many days by not even providing food and she even brought this to the notice of local officials. When she tried to escape harassment, The Employer chopped her hand mercilessly and it was then she sustained a spinal injury after a bad fall. She is undergoing treatment in Riyadh.
The 55-Year-Old Woman is from Tamil Nadu. Her Family members have given a representation to State and Central Governments seeking their help for bring back her to India.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj condemned the brutal attack and ill-treatment to Indian Worker. "Chopping of hand of Indian lady - We are very much disturbed over the brutal manner in which Indian lady has been treated in Saudi Arabia. This is unacceptable. We have taken this up with Saudi authorities," she assured.
