When he was the captain of Team India, Ganguly had dressed up like a 'sardarji' to prevent being mobbed. He wouldn't miss accompanying the deity during the final journey for nimarjan. Once, He disguised as a Sardarji to bid send off to Durga Maa. 'The situation would go out of control if people recognize Me. But, The kind of thrill I would be getting while carrying the deity on the truck is irresistible,' says the Iconic Cricketer.
It was Ganguly's Wife Dona who roped a make-up artist to make him look like a Sikh Man. The cricketer's cousins made fun of him saying people would recognize him. Cops didn't allow him to get on the truck. So, Ganguly followed it in his car and even his daughter Sana accompanied him. After reaching the destination, Inspector peered in through the window and gave a smile watching his disguise. Ganguly then asked the cop not to reveal the secret. Even Today, He feels that experience is very memorable.
