The Andhra Pradesh government having a tough time with the courts is not new. On many occasions, various courts have shocked the government. Another incident joined the list with the Supreme Court coming down severely on the state government in connection with a Fund.

The issue of alleged funds transfer from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) to personal deposit accounts or PD accounts had been taken to the notice of the Apex Court. The division bench of the Supreme Court heard the petition and issued sensational orders in this regard.

Taking a serious note of the funds' transfer, the Supreme Court bench had issued orders restraining the Andhra Pradesh government from transferring the funds from the reserve fund. During the hearing, the bench expressed its concern about the issue and said that the issue is a serious one.

The issue went to the notice of the Supreme Court when a petitioner who goes by the name Palla Srinivasa Rao knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court against the AP government. In a petition, the petitioner said that what the government had done goes against the rules.

Satisfied with the arguments of the petitioner's lawyer and the evidence that was submitted by the lawyers, the Supreme Court said that the issue is serious and served notices to the Andhra Pradesh government and sought a response from the government.
