Sc Directs Ap Govt To Come With The Final Decision On Conducting Exams
By: Tupaki Desk | 24 Jun 2021 8:54 AM GMTThe Constitution bench of the Supreme Court comprising Justice AM Khanwlikar and Justice Dinesh Maheshwari heard a petition pertaining to the Intermediate exams in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.
During the hearing, the bench questioned the advocate who represented the Andhra Pradesh government on how 15 days would be sufficient to make the required arrangements to conduct the exams.
Talking about the Corona scare, the bench advised the state government to rethink about the conduction of the exams and asked the advocate to come with a detailed report on the exams.
The bench made it clear that permission to conduct the exams will be given till the Supreme Court gets convinced with the detailed plan on how the exams will be held and how the arrangements were made.
"We will not permit the conduction of the exams till we get convinced that the examinations can be conducted without a single casualty. When the other states have suspended the exams you are going for the exams. We are not convinced with the arrangements," the bench said.
The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led Andhra Pradesh government had made it clear that it will go for the exams once things get on track. The exams are expected to be held in the last week of next month.
