SC directs TS Govt to lift ban on ABN channel

ABN news channel gets respite finally. The Supreme Court (SC) has directed the Telangana government to lift the ban on the streaming of the news channel. Country's APEX court today ordered for revoking the ban on the ABN Channel programmes in the State.
Supreme Court served notices to Centre and Telangana MSOs and asked that the orders shall be given to all district collectors of the state.Apex court also ordered state government to provide security to the MSOs if needed.
Its known that channel was banned by the Telangana government earlier and its been exactly 506 days and number of agitations had taken place to revive it. SC judgement will be a huge relief to the media house!
Cable operators in Telangana have barred TV9 and ABN for allegedly denigrating Telangana legislators.
