SC grants Government 24 hours to take action on Delhi Pollution!

The poor air quality in the national capital Delhi is always a matter of concern. The quality of the air is unimaginable after the Diwali festival. The rise in air pollution that gained a lot of attention from everyone had reached the country's top court, the Supreme Court. The Apex Court heard a petition on the issue on Thursday.
During the hearing, the Supreme Court expressed its severe concerns on the air quality and pulled the Union government and the Delhi government and asked what had they done to deal with the crisis. Nothing is happening, the Apex Court observed.
Chief Justice of India(CJI) NV Ramana opined that nothing is happening over the issue and just the time waste is happening. With a strong note, the Supreme Court directed the Centre and Delhi government to take action against this in the next 24 hours.
The pollution caused by the industries and the vehicle omission are the main reasons for the rise in air pollution. Strict action should be taken against them to deal with the crisis, the Supreme Court maintained.
The national capital has been suffering from toxic air quality for more than one month with issues like the bursting of crackers and the burning of the farms. For the past four weeks, the Supreme Court has been hearing the petitions on the issue. Unhappy with the productivity, the Supreme Court directed the governments to act fastly.
During the hearing, the Supreme Court also slammed the Delhi Government for allowing schools for kids while the employees are working from home. When the adults are working from home, why are the small kids going to school, the Supreme Court asked.
However, Lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi who represented the Delhi government for the hearing told the Supreme Court that the schools were reopened with an option that the classes can also be told online. To deal with the loss of learning, the schools were reopened.
As a response, the Chief Justice said, they know the issues related to this and directed the government that they will be slapped with severe action if no action was taken by them.
