SC Quashes MP HC orders to grant bail under Tie Rakhi condition

The Madhya Pradesh High Court's verdict once against made it to the headlines, with the Supreme Court, which heard a petition in this regard has scrapped the High Court's orders.
Nine women lawyers have knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court challenging the High Court's orders to grant bail on the condition that the accused should tie a Rakhi to the victim.
The SC has set aside Madhya Pradesh High Court's bail orders and maintained that the bail conditions should not mandate, require or permit contact between the accused and the victim and should protect the complaint from harassment by the accused.
The judges should display sensitivity at all times. Any notion towards compromises between the complainant and the accused should not be either suggested or entertained by the Court, the SC said.
Looking at the sensational case, the accused name Vikram Bagri was jailed on the charges of sexually assaulting his neighbor. He moved the court to seek bail in the case.
ON July 30, 2020, the Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court ordered to grant him bail. But the condition for this is, he should tie a Rakhi to the victim and buy clothes and sweets for the women's kid.
