Schools record low footfall on reopening day in Telangana!
X
After eighteen long months, the schools across Telangana were reopened on Wednesday. The schools were reopened except for a few exemptions like residential schools, tribal hostels as the High Court said no to these schools and hostels for reopening. The school buses have hit the roads after a long time.

However, the schools have reported a low footfall of students on the reopening day in the state. The parents showing reluctance to send their children to the schools fearing the Covid spread is the main reason behind the low attendance in schools.

As per the guidelines issued by the Telangana government, the schools have followed all the Covid protocols like maintaining a distance in the seating arrangements of students. Hand sanitizers and hand washes were made available at the school facilities by the management. The students were allowed to enter the facilities only after checking their temperature with the devices.

It is said that a small portion of the private schools have not reopened the schools as they were not sure ongoing for the offline classes. As the High Court said, the students cannot be forced to attend the offline classes and no action can be taken against the schools for starting the offline classes, only those who are ready for the offline classes have taken the option.

The teachers and the other staff at the schools have worn the facemasks going with the guidelines and made sure that the students also wear the facemasks and they maintain social distance with others.

The Telangana High Court had earlier said in its orders that residential, social welfare, and tribal welfare schools with hostel facilities cannot be reopened until further notice. The next hearing was posted on October 4.
