See how DK Aruna's graph is soaring!
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 Feb 2021 7:34 AM GMTIt appears DK Aruna's stock is going up in the BJP. Aruna, a former minister and a powerful political personality in Gadwal politics, had joined the BJP ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and contested as the BJP MP candidate from Mahabubnagar Lok sabha seat. However, she lost by a whisker.
Many thought that Aruna would go back to the Congress Party once the Lok Sabha elections were over. However, she not only continued with the BJP, but also became very active in the party's affairs. She attends almost every party meeting and is pro-active in implementing party's programmes in her burrough of Gadwal. Not just that, she was made the national vice-president of the party after JP Nadda took over as the party president. Her stock suddenly went up within the party. Getting vice-president's post for a newcomer is a big thing in the BJP. Then she was made incharge of Karnataka state. During a recent meeting in Bengaluru, Union Home Minister Amit Shah specifically introduced her to the party workers and said that they should keep contact with her as she is the party incharge for Karnataka.
The latest is that on Sunday, the new BJP national team met with Prime Minister Modi in Delhi. During the interaction, Modi himself walked over to DK Aruna and asked her: âSab Theek Hain Naa Aruna Ji,â (Is everything OK Arunaji). This showed the importance that the party is giving to DK Aruna. No wonder, Aruna is working overtime to lure Congress leaders into the BJP saying that it is better to be in the BJP as it ensures growth and not in Congress as the party does not give any opportunities to the grassroot level workers.
