Senior actress Kavitha has been offering services to Telugu Desam party since the past 5-6 years. However, She neither contested in general elections nor being chosen for a respectable post by the party till date. These developments sent the wrong message that she isn't a serious politician.

Claiming that she joined TDP with NTR's inspiration, She complained TDP President Chandrababu Naidu denied ticket to her in 2009 and 2014 general elections. She accused Naidu of offering her ticket to some other candidate in the last minute on both the occasions.
