Sensational Pakistan Reaches T20 WC Final Miraculously!

The ongoing World Cup has been giving a lot of surprises to cricket fans. Big giant teams that are expected to lift the trophy are knocked out of the tournament. In the early matches, they were defeated by small teams. Namibia defeated Sri Lanka and West Indies were knocked out of the tournament with back-to-back defeats.
The intensity surrounding the tournament is getting bigger as we might see India and Pakistan locking horns in the final of the T20 World Cup. In the first Semifinals match, Pakistan defeated the black caps New Zealand and secured a spot in the finals.
New Zealand won the toss and skipper Kane Williamson decided to bat first. This did not go as planned as the black caps were restricted to 152 in their quota of overs. Looking at the score fans predicted Pakistan’s win.
Pakistan openers Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam who were struggling to score runs got their form back and scored half-centuries. For the first wicket, they made a partnership of 105. The match went on till the last over. When Pakistan needed two runs in the last over, Tim Southee’s delivery went for a wide. With Pakistan taking a single in the next ball Pakistan won the match.
Pakistan has a better record against New Zealand in the World Cup Semis stage. Before this, both teams locked horns with each other in 1992, 1999, and 2007 and three times Pakistan won the match. Now the record only got better.
Pakistan making it to the semis is a miracle. The Men In Green were supposed to get knocked out of the tournament in the Super 12 stage. With the Netherlands defeating South Africa Pakistan made it to the semis and now reached the finals.
