Sensex Drops Rapidly With Union Budget Announcement

The announcement of Union Budget in the Lok Sabha bu Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman led to a rapid decline in the Sensex. The Nifty saw a drop by 223 points to trade at 11,811.95.
Generally, the stock markets operate from Monday to Friday only. As FM is announcing the Union Budget the stock markets were open on Saturday too.
Larsen &Toubro, ITC, HDFC, Tata Motors, and Sun Pharmaceuticals remained the top losers of the stock market. Bajaj Finserv, Larsen & Toubro, HDFC, Zee Entertainment, and Tata Motors saw a rapid decline on the Nifty.
On the other hand, Tata Consultancy Services, Hindustan Unilever, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and HCL Technologies remained the top gainers of the Sensex. Tata Consultancy Services, Hindustan Unilever, JSW Steel, Infosys, and HCL Technologies stocks traded higher on the Nifty.
BSE Sensex has increased by 115 points and reached 40,836 points, while Nifty went up 37 points at 11,997.
