Serum Institute of India To Produce Vaccine For Less Than Rs 250!

The ongoing pandemic is spreading its deadly wings in the country and India reported more than 50,000 fresh cases for eight consecutive days. The total infections in India surpassed the 2 million mark.
In the wake of the tough situation, immunobiological drugs manufacturer Serum Institute of India came up with a piece of good news that it would produce a vaccine to cure the pandemic at a low cost.
The Serum Institute said that the cost of the vaccine will be less than Rs 250 per dose. The institute headquartered in Pune said that it will provide vaccines to 92 other countries too.
To produce the vaccine Serum Institute of India joined hands with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and said that the vaccine will be out before the first half of 2021.
Once the vaccine gets all the required approvals and becomes successful the vaccine will be sent to many nations including India. Low and middle-income countries will receive the vaccine at a very less price.
