Setback For YS Jagan In The CBI Court
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Nov 2019 7:09 AM GMTIt is known that YS Jaganmohan Reddy sought an exemption from appearing in the CBI Court on every Friday after becoming the Chief Minister of AP. During Today's hearing, The CBI Court dismissed the petition moved by the AP Chief Minister.
YS Jagan's Counsel sought exemption citing his Client has to take care of the state as the Chief Minister and appearing in the court every week will lead to financial burden on the Government. However, CBI raised objection to the exemption on grounds that Jagan could influence the witnesses and case. In the end, The court favoured the investigation agency.
Where is the logic in the argument of CBI? Can Jagan influence the witnesses only on Friday? What difference does his personal appearance in the court could make? Only God Knows!
Looks like, BJP is trying to trouble YS Jaganmohan Reddy in some way or the other. Undavalli Arun Kumar opined, 'The counter filed by CBI on the exemption sought by Jagan was too harsh. Not even Congress responded in such a manner. It appears like the ground is being prepared to irk Jagan'.
