Sexist Remark Against Jayaprada

Samajwadi Party Leader Firoz Khan made sexist remark against Jayaprada after she joined BJP to contest again from Rampur Constituency in Uttar Pradesh. In a viral video, He told Jayaprada with enthral people of Rampur by turning the evenings colourful during the election season with her 'ghungaroos' and 'thumkas'.
A Case was registered against Firoz Khan for the controversial remark on the Actress. The National Commission for Women serves a notice to him. He was asked to offer an explanation over the sexist remark.
However, The Samajwadi Party Leader defended himself saying his statement was blown out of proportion. 'I had no intention to disrespect Women. I just praised Jayaprada who is a celebrity. My intention was to convey that people would ask her to mouth her popular dialogues when she campaigns in Rampur,' he told.
SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav issued a statement that his party respects Women and none of the partymen should disrespect females.
