Afridi's Kashmir Comment draws flak
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 March 2016 7:32 AM GMTShahid Afridi and Controversies go hand-in-hand. At the time when he was facing criticism for losing three out of four league matches in the ICC World T20, Pakistan Skipper invited the wrap of Indians by mentioning Kashmir in his speech.
During the post match presentation, Afridi said: "I want to thank the people of Kolkata for supporting us. I thank people who came and supported us from Pakistan and Kashmir. I also want to thank the BCCI for the hospitality in India".
When quizzed about his fan following in Mohali, He replied, 'Ya, A lot of people are here from Kashmir as well'.
BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur opined Afridi's statement isn't political correct and improper. Afridi's 'Loved More in India' comment gives a feeling he is behaving more like a politician than cricketer.
