Star Hero & Character Actor in Rs 500 cr Scam

CBI took over investigation of Rs 500 crore online ponzi scam by Ghaziabad-based Webwork Trade Links. Anurag Jain & Sandeep Verma, promoters of Webwork Trade Links, duped people using Bollywood actors Shahrukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the brand ambassadors of its portal addsbook.com.
As per the complaint, Webwork Trade Links opened the shadow company named 'Addsbook Marketing Pvt' on December 10th, 2016 with SRK & Nawazuddin as it's endorsers. People have trusted the claims in the advertisements as big names like King Khan were involved. The Promoters collected money promising good returns on investment in the form of revenue from every click on advertisements on their website. As many as 4 lakh people have obtained membership. Over Rs 500 crore has been collected from around 2 lakh people.
After Allahabad High Court issued directions, CBI took over the case. While names of Promoters were mentioned in FIR, Even SRK & Nawazuddin are named in the complaint but neither as accused or suspects.
