By: Tupaki Desk | 21 Oct 2021 6:09 AM GMTThe heinous crime of brutal rape and murder of a veterinarian in Hyderabad that was dubbed as the Disha incident had attracted the focus of the entire country. However, the accused were shot by the cops when they tried to attack the police during the scene recreation. Despite the public welcoming the development, a few activists have raised their doubts and moved the court seeking a judicial probe.
The Court had earlier ordered for a judicial probe and the commission is currently probing the case. Shamsbhavad DCP N Prakash Reddy had appeared before the commission to give his statement on the case and the details he had given to VC Sajjanar who was the then Commissioner of Cyberabad.
As per the media reports, the Shamshabad DCP had reportedly told the judicial commission that the briefing he gave to VC Sajjanar is quite different from the details, Sajjanar gave during the press meet. Prakash Reddy had countered the details mentioned by Sajjanar.
While giving his version on the case, Prakash Reddy is said to have told the members of the judicial commission that, he told Sajjanar that Jollu Naveen, one of the accused, came up with the plan of puncturing the victim’s bike tyre.
The DCP reportedly said that Sajjanar had presented the details in a different way. Reports say that Prakash Reddy told the commission that he had briefed Sajjanar that the accused in the case made the plan to puncture the bike tyre while Naveen carried out the plan.
He also told the commission reportedly that the presentation Sajjanar made enduring his press briefing is different from his briefing and he did not tell the Commissioner that the belongings of the victim were found in the bushes.
It has been widely reported that the Shamshabad Deputy Commissioner of Police(DCP) had opined during his interaction with the judicial commission that he should have given a clarification on the presentation Sajjanar gave while addressing the media as the case had resulted in a lot of noise.
The four accused were shot by the cops when the accused were taken to the incident spot to recreate the incident. During the recreation, the accused tried to flee from the spot by attacking the cops.
