The internal conflicts between the leaders of ruling JD(U) in Bihar reached new heights resulting in the disqualification of two rebel MPs. The announcement of Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu disqualifying national level leader like Sharad Yadav became a sensation. Another JD(U) MP Ali Anwar also disqualified.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar filed a petition on behalf of the party that Sharad Yadav.. Ali Anwar have been involved in the anti-party activities for a long time and he requested to disqualify them. Based on the petition, Rajya Sabha Chairman expelled the two MPs from the Upper House.

It is known that JD(U) - RJD - Congress coalition won the elections and formed the government in Bihar recently. Nitish Kumar became the CM of the state. He was troubled by the coalition partner RJD. The BJP was waiting for the right opportunity moved its cards right by supporting Nitish Kumar. JD(U) party split into two in the later developments. Nitish Kumar formed the government in alliance with the BJP later.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and JD(U) senior leader Sharad Yadav and others opposed Nitish Kumar decisions. They have organised rallies claiming that they are the true representatives of JD(U). They have even approached Election commission claiming their right over the party and party symbol. But the Election Commision refused to recognise Sharad faction as real JD(U) and recognised Nitish Kumar's faction as the real JD(U).
