Sharing Up Violence Visuals, Opposition Parties Target Bjp!
By: Tupaki Desk | 5 Oct 2021 11:25 AM GMTThe violence that broke out in Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) ruled Uttar Pradesh after the convoy of Union Ministerâs son reportedly ran over the farmers is still sending shocking waves across the state with the opposition leaders attacking the government over the incident.
Giving a weapon for the opposition leaders, BJP MP Varun Gandhi had shared a video on his Twitter handle which is said to be of the vehicle mishap incident. In the video he shared, a vehicle can be seen bulldozing onto the farmers. The MP called the visuals soul-shaking.
Besides sharing the video, the MP also tagged the Police boss of Uttar Pradesh and asked the Cop to nab the guilty immediately. The MP also sought the arrest of people who were present in the vehicles and the owners as well.
Taking a cue from the MP's post, the Opposition party Congress has widely circulated the visuals and questioned why the Narendra Modi government is silent on the ancient and not speaking on the spine-chilling incident.
Besides the opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh like Samajwadi Party, and the Bahujan Samaj Party, other parties in other states are also targeting the Uttar Pradesh government and Centre on the issue and raising a lot of doubts on the way the incident took place.
On the other hand, regional parties like Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) which is in power in Telangana had also condemned the barbaric incident and said the culprits should be punished.
"Shocked & Horrified to see the ruthless & cold blooded murder of farmers in #Lakhimpur_Kheri of Uttar Pradesh. Strongly condemn the barbaric incident & hope the perpetrators will be brought to justice soonest," Telangana IT Minister KTR tweeted.
On the other hand, the Uttar Pradesh government had ordered the Police Department to probe into the incident and punish the culprits. An ex-gratia for the deceased and injured was announced by the state government.
However, the farmers and protestors have denied the ex-gratia for the victims and said they want justice and not ex-gratia. The farmer leaders are saying that serving justice to the victims and family members of the deceased is more important than giving ex-gratia.
