Shashank Manohar is likely to become the BCCI President yet again. Between the period 2008-2011, He served as BCCI Chief and its N Srinivasan who succeeded him. Post the IPL fixing scandal, Supreme Court asked N Srinivasan to step down and Jagmohan Dalmiya took the reins of BCCI in his absence. After the sudden demise of Dalmiya, Shashank Manohar is going to make a comeback as head of Indian Cricket Board. That's how life comes in full circle!

The 57-Year-Old is a Lawyer by Profession and he is based in Vidarbha. Clean Image and Uncompromising Attitude on issues such as Corruption have earned him a good reputation.

At first, Shashank Manohar was reluctant to take up the Top Post. It was Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and BCCI joint secretary Anurag Thakur who took up the task to convince him. Finally, Shashank Manohar agreed after Sharad Pawar, who heads his Group, given his consent. Anurag Thakur and Sharad Pawar Groups collectively have 15 votes out of total 29 to bag the BCCI President post. It's more or less official that N Srinivasan's attempt to make his candidates as BCCI Chief failed.
