Sunanda Case: Tharoor On The Verge Of Arrest

Senior Congress leader, former Central Minister Shashi Tharoor landed into trouble. It is known that his wife Sunanda Pushkar died under suspicious circumstances while Shashi Tharoor was a minister in the UPA government. The same case has been haunting him now. Mr. Tharoor had to approach the court on Tuesday to evade his arrest. He has applied for anticipatory bail in the case.
Delhi court has recently issued summons to Shashi Tharoor terming him as an accused in the Sunanda Pushkar death case. The court asked him to attend the questioning on July 7. But Shashi Tharoor has been arguing that he has nothing to do with the death of Sunanda Pushkar. But Delhi police have raised allegations on him. They are saying that Shashi Tharoor is involved in the case and they have submitted nearly 3000 pages charge sheet. They said that Shashi Tharoor behaved in a cruel manner with his wife.
It is known that there were reports in the media that Sunanda Pushkar committed suicide in a star hotel on January 17, 2014. But Police investigation revealed that it is not a suicide but a murder. Police have stated in their charge sheet that Shashi Tharoor has been involved in the case.
