Shastri is now Team India Coach

As Duncan Fletcher's contract as Team India coach ended with ICC World Cup 2015, BCCI has appointed former Indian Cricketer Ravi Shastri as the interim coach for the Bangladesh Tour in June this year.

Apparently, Ravi Shastri has served as Team Director from August last year till the end of World Cup 2015. As his contract expired two months ago, BCCI has offered him a new role and he would continue the post until the Board finds a replacement for Duncan Fletcher as head Coach.

Duncan Fletcher wasn't successful as Team India Coach. India has registered very bad Overseas record during his tenure, especially in Tests. Hopefully, Ravi Shastri brings the good fortune.

India will be playing three ODIs and a Test Match during the Bangladesh tour. The cricketers will leave the country in the first week and return by the end of June.
