TDP MLC Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy is mulling to quit the party ahead of Nandyal by-election. He might be joining YSR Congress in the presence of YS Jaganmohan Reddy when he campaigns in Nandyal during the 3rd week of August. 'I wasn't given good importance in TDP. I would take a final call after the meeting with my supporters,' he told.
When Kurnool District in-charge Kaluva Srinivasulu and Rajya Sabha MP CM Ramesh held talks with him Yesterday, Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy made it clear that he will continue in TDP only if party leadership promises to offer him Srisailam Assembly segment ticket in 2019 Polls.
Actually, Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy joined YSR Congress when it was floated by Jagan following differences with Congress High Command. He quit YCP in 2011 upon realizing YCP Srisailam ticket won't be offered to him. He joined TDP in 2012 and got defeated contesting from Srisailam in 2014. In 2015, Chakrapani Reddy was appointed as Kurnool District President. He was elected as MLC in the recent polls. His Brother Shilpa Mohan Reddy quit TDP after party leadership offered Nandyal by-poll ticket to Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy.
