Money influenced Nandyal Voters: Shilpa

TDP Candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy won with a healthy margin of over 27,000 votes in Nandyal by-election. Except for the 16th Round, TDP dominated throughout the counting process which lasted for 19 Rounds.
YSR Congress candidate Shilpa Mohan Reddy reached the counting centre at Polytechnic College on Monday morning to observe the trends closely. By the end of 7th Round, He anticipated his defeat and left the spot.
While speaking to media persons, Shilpa Mohan Reddy alleged TDP managed to win in Nandyal by-election only because the manner in which it bribed the voters. 'Though TDP Government didn't bother to develop Nandyal in the past 3 years, Hundreds of crores has been spent in the name of development works in the constituency because of by-election. This factor played a key role,' he said.
At the same time, Shilpa claims to be respecting the mandate given by the people of Nandyal. He maintained even the sympathy wave worked in favour of TDP to some extent.
When quizzed if he would quit Politics after losing the challenge, Shilpa Mohan Reddy said Akhila Priya hasn't accepted his challenge and hence he needn't retire.
