As per Forbes Magazine, The Net Worth of Reliance Industries Chairman stood at 51.4 billion dollars. With the disruption created by Jio in the Telecom Sector, Ambani's wealth increased by 4.1 billion dollars. Azim Premji who was at 2nd Position in 2018 slipped to 17th spot in an year. Gautham Adani occupied the second position. Hinduja Brothers and Pallonji Mistry are at 3rd and 4th places respectively. Due to economic slowdown, The wealth of the Top 100 Richest Indians decreased by 8 percent and settled at 452 billion dollars. Net worth of at least half of these super rich individuals plunged.
According to Companies Act 2013, Its mandatory for Corporate Families to donate 2 percent of their profit to philanthropic activities. If you assume India's Richest Man would be the biggest donor, Then you are mistaken. None other than Shiv Nadar emerged as Top Philanthropist by donating Rs 826 crore. Wipro's Azim Premji contributed Rs 453 crore to the social cause. Mukesh Ambani settled at third position by donating Rs 402 crore.
