Shock to Kamal Haasan, 3 close associates ditch him
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 Nov 2019 8:12 AM GMTIn films he may have played Dasavataram, playing hero, villain, joker, sidekick and character artiste with aplomb. But, politics is a different ballgame. And Tamil cinema icon Kamal Haasan seems to be learning this lesson in the hard way.
His party proved to be a dud in the election. The results were anything but encouraging. Most of his candidates have failed to secure even their security deposits. His party clearly lost the plot and does not know what its next move should be. No other major political party in the state is even touching Kamal Haasan even with a barge poll. Now here's another shocker. Three of the candidates, who contested the elections in the last Lok Sabha elections, have left the party. What more, these leaders have joined the BJP in the presence of BJP senior leader and former union minister Pon Radha krishnan. The leaders who have joined the BJP are Rajendran, who contested from Arakkonam, Sri Karunya of Krishnagiri and Ravi of Chidambaram.
While joining, these leaders said that they were impressed by the policies and principles of the BJP and were inspired by the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They said they would work for strengthening the BJP in Tamil Nadu. Kamal Haasan was not available for comment.
