Shock to TRS: 500 leaders from Huzurabad follow Eatala

In what could be seen as a major shock to the ruling TRS party, TRS workers from eight villages in Veenavanka mandal have resigned from the party in support of Eatala Rajender. They include mandal party president, vice MPP, ZPTC forum president and several sarpanches. The number of resignations is around 500.
This development comes on a day when Eatala will submit his resignation both from the party and from the legislative assembly. Interestingly, this development also comes at a time when TRS top brass, including Ministers Harish Rao, Gangula Kamalakar and Planning board deputy chairperson Vinod are camping in Huzurabad constituency to ensure that no TRS leader goes with Eatala. Those who have resigned said that they would work for Eatala. This is sure to jolt the leadership. Sources said more leaders are likely to follow Eatala in the days to come.
Meanwhile, Eatala is set to meet the chairperson of the legislative assembly on Tuesday and hand over his resignation in the prescribed format. Whether he will go to the Telangana Bhavan to put in his papers from the party is not known.
