Shocker: Satyam Raju and 83 Directors face 1 Year Jail Term!

Satyam Ramalinga Raju has once again made it to headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Nampally Court on Thursday delivered a judgement regarding the charges of evasion of Income Tax on 19 firms including Satyam Computers. The court convicted Satyam Raju and 83 directors of other companies with 1 year jail term in connection with the multi-million Satyam Computers scam. The names of Raju's wife Nandini, sons Teja Raju & Rama Raju and brother's wife Radha have been included in the list.
Interestingly, Court awarded 1 year imprisonment for male directors and just 6 months jail term for female directors. All of the convicts need to pay a penalty of Rs 10,000 each. It is learnt that all of them evaded a tax of around Rs 2 crore.
