Ever since India lost to Kiwis in the semi-finals in the 2019 World Cup the heated debate on the player who will play at the fourth spot started. The former all-rounder of India Yuvraj Singh even said that India lost in semi-finals as India doesn't have proper batsmen to fir in the spot.

Now, young batsman, Shreyas Iyer is confident that he has successfully sealed the fourth spot as his performance is constant for one year.

The Right hand batsman impressed everyone with his bright performance in the West Indies and New Zealand series. Though India faced a whitewash with 0-3 his performance became the talk of the town.

He made these comments, during an Instagram chat which was hosted by Delhi Capitals franchise and said that he has sealed the fourth spot in the team and there should be no debate on that.

Before calling Iyer for the fourth for the West Indies series, Team India tried players like Ambati Rayudu, Vijay Shankar, Rishabh Pant for the spot but none of them proved successful.
