Southern States Pay More, Gets Less: CM

Now, It has come to the stage that a Chief Minister of Southern State complained about the injustice happening in the devolution of funds.
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah states six Southern States contributed much more to central taxes than Northern States but they have always ended up getting less. 'For every rupee of tax paid by Karnataka, It gets 47 paise in return. Whereas, Uttar Pradesh received Rs 1.79 for every rupee it pays. Population remains criteria for devolution of central taxes. How long could we incentivize population growth?,' he questions.

He highlighted the recent agreement with Vietnam that's gonna ruin the lives of pepper farmers in Karnataka and Kerala. India entered into a deal with Vietnam to import pepper through China.
