Sidhu To Be Delhi Congress President?

Navjot Singh Sidhu may have been removed from the Punjab cabinet and Punjab CM Amarinder may be dead opposed to him. But, Sidhu still seems to be the hot favourite of the Congress high command. After being ousted from the ministerial post, Siddhu has been offered the key responsibility of Delhi Congress. He would be made the president of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee and would take the place of Shiela Dixit.
After Shiela Dixit's sudden demise, the Congress is left with no credible leader in Delhi. The party high command feels that Sidhu alone can rejuvenate the party and activate the cadre. Sidhu enjoys a close relationship with the Gandhi family. The high command feels that Siddhu can lead the party in an able manner.
But, there seems to be some hitch still. At least some sections of the Congress are not favourably inclined towards Navjot Sidhu. Some people are opposing his leadership and say that he may not be the right person to the lead the party. But, the high command appears determined that Sidhu should be made party chief for Delhi and should lead it in Delhi assembly elections.
