Sikha Chowdary made headlines for all the wrong reasons with the murder mystery of NRI and Express TV Chairman Chigurupati Jayaram. Rakesh Reddy was charged for the murder of Jayaram and attempting to mislead police. Hyderabad Police booked a case against Sikha Chowdary for taking away the documents from Jayaram's residence after his murder.

So many speculations have been in circulation about the relationship between Jayaram and Sikha Chowdary. For the first time, Sikha Chowdary opened up on the link-up rumours for the first time. 'Media has wrongly reported that I admitted that Myself and My Sister had an extra-marital affair with Uncle Jayaram. My Sister wasn't even born when My Uncle got married. I was 11 Months Old then. Our relationship is more like a Father & Daughter. I won't comment on Jayaram's character and have no intension to change the opinion media have on him. Citing my lifestyle, Media has created link-up rumours. Any other girl in my position would have committed suicide by now. My Family Members were hurt with these reports. After My Father's death, Uncle stood supportive of us. My Family, Friends and Relatives who heard those baseless reports are still in shock. They mayn't recover anytime soon,' she told.

Sikha Chowdary cried foul over the whole controversy saying she was unnecessarily dragged into this mess. She claimed to have assumed Jayaram died in a car mishap just alike anyone but didn't expect it to be a murder.
