Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman PJ Kurien warns members when they break rules and makes funny statements once in a while in the floor of the House. Few interesting developments took place in the Upper House during the discussion on Special Category Status for AP.
When Sujana Chowdary tried to disrupt the speech of Arun Jaitley, Kurien intervened to say why a Minister causes disturbance when another Minister is speaking in the House.
CPI National General Secretary Sitaram Yechury claimed he was born in Madras, brought up with Andhra and have close bond with Telangana before asking the Centre to consider his suggestions in matters related to Telugu States. That's when Kurien commented, 'You are not just National, but International Citizen. You can talk about any issue. You don't have limitations. Speak about any state and any issue'.
Members in the House including Sitaram Yechury burst out laughing due to funny comments of the Deputy Chairman.
