Serving Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) party President faced an embarrassing situation after six of his legislators have shifted their loyalties to the saffron party BJP.

Going into details, six legislators of the Janata Dal-United (JDU) in Arunachal Pradesh have switched to BJP. With this, JDU is left with only one MLA in the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly.

With the fresh addition of Legislators, the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP)'s strength has increased to 48. The total strength of the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly is 60.

The latest development in Arunachal Pradesh added fuel to the reports which claim that BJP and JDU are having differences. The JDU is yet to respond to the sudden development.

Hayeng Mangfi, Jikke Tako, Dongru Siongju, Talem Taboh, Kanggong Taku, and Dorjee Wangdi Kharma are the leaders who have shifted their loyalties to the saffron party BJP.

BJP and JDU joined hands in Bihar to form the government. However, in Arunachal Pradesh, BJP has formed the government and the JDU is supporting the government.

After the JDU leaders joined the BJP, the strength of the opposition in the house has decreased to 12. While Congress and the National People's Party have four legislators, there are three independents in the state. JDU is left with only one MLA.
